St. Rose School 8th graders consistently rank above the national average on the Stanford 10 standardized tests.
Our recent graduates have been accepted to: Arlington Catholic High School, Boston College High School, Malden Catholic High School, Matignon High School, Nazareth Academy, Pope John XXIII High School, St. Clement High School, and St. Mary High School (Lynn).
The diverse student body at St. Rose gives students a strong sense of appreciation for human differences- a value students carry with them for the rest of their lives.
St. Rose School meets students’ social and emotional needs with the support of a guidance counselor through the City Connects in Catholic Schools program at Boston College.
St. Rose School teaches students about social justice through our Thursday Missions program. Each month, students donate money to a worthy charity. Past recipients of our donations have included: Missionary Childhood Association; A Bed for Every Child; Boston Rescue Mission; Catholic Charities; and the Sisters of Providence Fund for the Care of Retired & Ill Sisters.
St. Rose School supports students who struggle with reading and are residents of Chelsea through the Title I program, which provides our school with a reading teacher.
St. Rose School teaches students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through a partnership with Junior Achievement.
St. Rose School strives to be an active member of the community of Chelsea by collecting food for local food pantries, participating in Family Literacy Day at the Chelsea Public Library, participating in the Empty Bowls project, and attending community events such as National Night Out and the city-wide Back to School afternoon.
